Heidelberg University is now accepting applications from talented and outstanding students for the PhD Positions in Defining Innate Immune Checkpoints Controlling Natural Killer. Applications are ongoing for the academic year 2022-2023.
In this project, the PhD candidate will investigate NK cell receptor pathways in response to melanoma cells. Within RTG2099 structured graduate education and lab visits with our project partners at Kings College in London will be offered. The PhD candidate will apply an immune-oncology CRISPR/Cas9-based screening approach using primary NK cells and melanoma cells and other tumor cells and will validate already existing candidates for their anti-tumor activity using in vitro and in vivo methods.
