Job Description

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Perspective

Responsibility

Financial

  • Sell existing products to new customers  
  • Push/upsell new products to existing customers

Customer

  • Manage existing relationships and ensure business continuity

Process

  • In conjunction with the Sales Manager, develop sales strategies and tactics necessary to competitively succeed in the marketplace 
  • Follow through on the implementation of business strategy 
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Demonstrating and presenting products 
  • Maintaining accurate sales activities and providing reports as requested by Sales Manager 
  • Negotiating contracts 
  • Actively preparing for monthly sales performance review exercise 

Capability

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
