Position Summary

To plan, direct, and coordinate, warehousing, distribution, customer service, and planning services. Manage logistics personnel and logistics systems, direct daily operations and drive sales initiatives.

 Job Details

  • Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation and warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping
  • Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, and safety records
  • Coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, or final disposal of resources
  • Negotiate with suppliers, clients and customers to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Direct distribution centre operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness objectives
  • Negotiate contracts for transportation, distribution, or logistics services
  • Analyse the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, mixes, or carriers
  • Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
  • Monitor product import/export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop emergency response plans and procedures

Requirement

  • Significant experience in Logistics operation management
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Ability to drive sales and should be conversant with social media marketing
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Remuneration

Negotiable Base pay plus Commission
