Our Client, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Company based in Lagos Nigeria who engage in the importation, distribution and support services of ICT is seeking to employ a CATEGORY MANAGER.
- Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
- Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
- Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
- Extensive understanding of Supplier/Vendor Management.
- Extensive experience in understanding consumer
- Must have a commercial mindset and full comprehensive knowledge of marketing and sales principles.
- Good Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficient in MS office
- Understanding of Data Analysis and forecasting methods.
- Must have good understanding of Customer Relationship Management and Satisfaction
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles.
- An analytical mind with strategic ability.
- Knowledge of Procurement Standards
- Process and procedure compliant
- Contract management
- Knowledgeable in Inventory Control
- Facility Management
- Inventory Management
- BA/MSC in any Science Related Field or any Management field of study
- Professional certification and proven experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Minimum of 5 Years’ experience
